If reports are to be believed, Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu is reportedly planning to alter the name of the political hub coastal Andhra city of Vijayawada. This comes as a surprise to many.
There are reports that soon it would be renamed as Bezawada once the ongoing Krishna Pushkarams are completed. The real purpose behind this is unknown as there are many important things than changing the name.
Earlier Naidu government altered Rajahmundry into Rajamahendravaram once the Godavari Pushkarams were over. For many this reverting to old name invokes a sense of nostalgia!
