Manu is the first crowd funded film that is releasing in Telugu this weekend. Short filmmaker Phanindra Narisetty is making his debut as director with this action thriller. Raja Goutham, Chandini Chowdary played the lead roles in the film which has been produced by The Crowd. Here is the complete review of the film:
Story:
Manu is all about the story of two lovers Manu (Raja Gautham) and Neela (Chandini Chowdary). They get parted ways because of a crime and the film is all about the mystery that is surrounded around what reunites them back. Watch Manu to know about the complete story. To keep the audience amused, we are not revealing anything much about the plot.
Positives:
Cinematography
Background score
Some episodes in the first half
Negatives:
Meaningless plot
Poor narration
Dragged second half
Run time
Performances:
Raja Gautham looks stunning and he performed to the core in the movie. He has been stunning on screen and subtle with his performance. Chandini Chowdary too has been decent and she looked apt and beautiful on screen. Abhiram Verma has been decent and all the other actors looked decent. Manu has limited characters and all of them performed well in the film.
Manu has an interesting plot which has been supported by a top notch cinematography and background score. The screenplay of the film leaves the film down and the dialogues have been apt. The music was ok and the background score made a stunning pair. The cinematography is the major highlight of the film. The editing work fails badly and the production values have been apt. Debutant Phanindra fails in making Manu a meaningful film.
Verdict:
Manu has top notch cinematography and background score. But the film falls short in delivering an impressive content and aggressive narration. A disappointment.
