Telugu Desam party senior leaders and newly elected MLAs also have pinned high expectations with the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s open indications of cabinet expansion. Also discussions are going on in the party groups about who will get the coveted posts.

Party cadre observed that the party was strong in Guntur and Prakasam districts when Assembly Speaker Kodela Sivaprasad was given full freedom. And the party leaders including Kodela were defeated in these districts soon after his prominence was reduced.

Keeping all theses in view, it was expected that this time Kodela will be given a key post in the cabinet. But close associates of Kodela opined that he may not join the cabinet. “Kodela, with his seniority and experience, may feel embarrassed to work with juniors in the cabinet. Besides he is comfortable with his present post.”

Meanwhile, news is rife that Narayana will be sidelined as Minister and will be made CRDA chairman post. Presently Naidu is the CRDA chairman.Allegations over Ravela Kishore Babu’s failure and Pullarao’s family members in Guntur district may deprive them of their posts, according to sources. Dhulipalla Narendra of Kamma community may replace Pullarao. Though Sidda Raghava Rao of Prakasam district is loyal to party and an honest person, he may lose his post. There are chances that Magunta Srinivas Reddy may replace Sidda. Senior leader Somireddy’s name is also in the air.

Ministers Mrinalini, Peethala Sujata, Ganta Srinivas Rao, Home Minister Chinna Rajappa may have to shed their posts or expect seat change. New entries from YSRCP Jyothula Nehru, Sujaya Krishna Rangarao, Bhuma Nagireddy and Chandpasha may get cabinet berths. Jalil khan may not get minister post and Jaggaiahpet senior MLA Sriram Tataiah may get the post from the district, according to party sources.
