There are reports that a three-phase financial package may be announced soon to Andhra Pradesh once monsoon session of Parliament is over. This is instead of the Special Status category.
The Union finance ministry is reportedly making a list of projects envisaged under the final package to be announced by the Union finance minister Arun Jaitley .
This reportedly includes compensating the deficit, as well as funds for backward districts, few special grants and reimbursement of Polavaram project expenditures. The package is expected to be about Rs 10,000 crore.
