YSR Congress got a major setback due to Supreme Court order over a petition seeking disqualification of all the 20 MLAs who had defected in AP recently in to the ruling TDP.

The Opposition has informed Court about the unethical practices of winning the elections by contesting on ticket on behalf of one party and shifting their loyalties towards another party.

The apex court has struck down this petition stressing that only the Assembly Speaker has powers to disqualify any of the legislators.
