Dreaded Maoist-turned-gangster Nayeemuddin, shot dead in police encounter at Shadnagar recently is known for his activities like extortions, land settlements, illegal businesses etc.
There are reports that Nayeem also wanted to make big money even through media. He was reportedly planning to launch a news channel for which an advance amount of Rs 3 crore was reportedly given to a Nalgonda based journalist.
At a time when this was to even take a preliminary shape, Nayeem was killed in the encounter. It is believed that many reporters in the same district were on the payrolls of Nayeem!
