Superstar Rajinikanth and Sensational director Shankar teamed up for the third time for 2.0, a sci fi thriller. The film featured Akshay Kumar in the role of the lead antagonist and Amy Jackson is the heroine. The movie released across the globe in record number of screens on November 29th and it received decent response all over. The theatrical rights of 2.0 have been valued at Rs 400 crores all over.

2.0 collected a theatrical share of Rs 274.9 crores in two weeks of its run all over. The film is expected to end up as a loss project all over.
