Superstar Rajinikanth is on a break after the release of Petta which ended up as a decent hit in Tamil Nadu. The actor signed his next film for AR Murugadoss and the pre-production work is currently on. Murugadoss clarified that the film is an out and out mass entertainer and is not a political drama. Rajinikanth will be seen in a dual role as a cop and as a social activist. He will be seen essaying two different looks.

Nayanthara and Keerthy Suresh will play the female leads in this untitled film that will start rolling from April. The makers are in plans to release this action drama during Diwali this year. Anirudh Ravichander is the music composer and Lyca Productions are the producers. Rajinikanth is currently preparing himself for the roles. AR Murugadoss is busy finalizing the actors. The movie will be made simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil languages.
