His recent outing Petta ended up as a profitable film across Tamil Nadu but the buyers across the globe lost huge money. Even the case is the same with 2.0 after the film ended up as an average box-office fare. The actor has been taking home Rs 40 crores per film for every project.

With huge losses for every film, the actor decided to cut down his remuneration for his next project. Rajinikanth will be charging Rs 25 crores per film now and he informed the makers recently. His next film will be directed by AR Murugadoss and will start rolling from summer this year. Sun Pictures will produce this big budget action entertainer.
