Talented filmmaker Mani Ratnam is desperate of success from the past few years. The ace director took enough time to pen the script of his next film which is titled Ponniyin Selvan. The movie entered into final stages of pre-production and Mani Ratnam managed to get an interesting bunch of top actors to play the lead roles in this historic drama. The regular shoot of Ponniyin Selvan commences this December.
Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Satyaraj, Nassar, Sarath Kumar, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Nayanthara, Anushka, Atharvaa Murali, Amala Paul, Keerthy Suresh and Rashi Khanna will play the lead roles in Ponniyin Selvan. The film will be made on a budget of Rs 300 crores and is based on the life story of King Raja Raja Cholan. Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies will jointly produce the film that will release during the end of 2020.
