After the sudden demise of Tamil Nadu ex-Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, there are several films announced on her name. Tollywood producer Vishnu Induri acquired the rights of her life story and the film is titled Thalaivi. The movie started rolling recently and will be shot in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil languages. Kangana Ranaut is reprising the role of Jayalalithaa in the film that is directed by AL Vijay.
As per the update, South Indian actress Priyamani has been roped in to reprise the role of Jayalalithaa’s close friend and aide Sasikala in the film. It is a challenging role and Priyamani signed the film instantly after the narration. The actress will transform herself for the role and will join the sets early next year. The shoot of Thalaivi started recently and it is made on a massive budget. Vishnu Induri is the producer.
