2.0 is one of the costliest films made in Indian cinema. Made on a whopping budget of Rs 550 crores, the film has been directed by Shankar. Rajinikanth, Amy Jackson and Akshay Kumar played the lead roles in this sci fi thriller. 2.0 has been announced for November 29th release and the Telugu theatrical rights have been left unsold. Top producer NV Prasad is releasing the film across AP and Telangana. He will paying Rs 80 crores as advance for the Telugu version.
The film needs to rake Rs 100 crores across the Telugu states to recover the investments and leave everyone involved in profits. AR Rahman composed the music and the audio album is already a massive hit. The theatrical trailer of 2.0 will be out on November 3rd. Bankrolled by Lyca Productions, 2.0 will release in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and in Hindi in 3D.
