2.0 carried mighty buzz and the film opened with a bang all over. The film released in over 6800 screens across India but there has been crisis for tickets on day one. Shankar is the director and 2.0 features Rajinikanth, Amy Jackson, Akshay Kumar are the lead actors. When things are extremely smooth all over, 2.0 registered shocking numbers across the circles of USA.

The film raked 890,000 USD on its first day including premieres which is quite low. Kabali collected close to 1.6 million USD and 2.0 released in over 800 screens in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi but it failed to register decent numbers. High ticket pricing and lack of proper buzz are the major reasons. Despite of the film getting positive reviews and word of mouth, the first day numbers in USA have been disappointing.
