Saamy Movie Review

Chiyaan Vikram is testing his luck after a while with his next film titled Saamy. Hari is the director and Keerthy Suresh played the female lead. Devi Sri Prasad composed the music and Saamy is the sequel for Vikram’s past blockbuster Saami (Tamil). Shibu Thameens produced the film which released today across the globe in Telugu and Tamil languages. Here is the complete review of Saamy:

Story:

Saamy is the story of Ramaswamy (Vikram) who dreams of turning a cop right from his childhood. He loses his parents at a small age and tries hard to trace the culprits who kills his parents. He falls in love with Diya (Keerthy Suresh) and it is then he comes to know that Ravana (Bobby Simha) is behind this crime. The rest of Saamy is all about the clash between Ramaswamy and Ravana and who wins the race. Watch Saamy to know about the complete story.

Positives:

Action Episodes
Vikram
Scenes between Vikram and Bobby Simha

Negatives:

Routine Plot
Boring Narration
Too much action
Loud background score
Predictable climax

Performances:

Vikram tops the show with his loud and stunning performance in the film. He is a treat to watch and shined in role of Ramasway. Keerthy Suresh is a treat to watch and she had limited screen presence. The actress performed well in the limited role. Bobby Simha is a perfect antagonist for Vikram and he too dominated well in the film. All the other actors have been decent in their assignments.

The story of Saamy has nothing new and it reminds us about Hari’s past films. The screenplay has been racy but the dialogues make no impact. The music has been decent and the background score has been loud. The production values have been grand and Hari disappoints the audience with an outdated plot and predictable narration.

Verdict:

Saamy is a huge disappointment from Vikram and Hari as the film offers nothing for any sections of audience. A huge disappointment.
