Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley seems to have offered a very clear indication of not according any Special Status to Andhra Pradesh when he met Union Ministers Venkaiah Naidu and Sujana Chowdary recently.
The Union Minister from TDP Sujana Chowdary was reportedly quite keen on Special Status given the sentiment that has been brewing in the state on the same issue.
However there are reports that Jaitley was not at all favourable saying there are Special Status requests that have been pending from 11 States. Hence he was insisting on giving a package for Andhra Pradesh!
