The Centre has officially declared its stance regarding the much awaited promise of special status for Andhra Pradesh. Already the political atmosphere has been surcharged in AP.
Finally BJP AP In-charge Siddharth Nath Singh has declared that as per recommendations of 14th Finance Commission, Andhra Pradesh cannot be accorded this status at any cost.
But he has also dropped enough hints that the Centre is all set to announce a special financial package very soon for the truncated state in lieu of the benefits accrued by special status! This should be able to help the cash starved state.
