The Central Government has reportedly released Rs 1,976 crore as a temporary aid for the beleaguered Andhra Pradesh Government which has been facing financial troubles after bifurcation.
Sources say Rs 1,176 crore was released in order to compensate the revenue deficit, while the Backward Districts got Rs 350 crore and a sum of Rs 450 crore has been given for the construction of AP Capital Amaravati.
There are reports that this is only an interim relief but a separate package with much more assistance would be given in few weeks time. That would be the real breath of relief for the cash strapped AP.
