Top actress Anushka played the lead role in Bhaagamathie, a women-centric horror drama that is made on a massive budget. The film ended up as a hit and raked massive money in its final run. Pilla Zamindar fame G Ashok directed the film and now efforts are made to remake the film in Hindi. Viacom 18 Motion Pictures is on board to produce this big-budget film in Hindi.
G Ashok who directed the original will direct the remake too. Bollywood actress Bhumi Pednekar will play the title role in the movie and she will reprise the role of Anushka. The pre-production work of the film is currently on and an official announcement would be made. The makers are currently finalizing the locations and the regular shoot commences in December.
