The hidden facts of Babri case.

The story of Babri Masjid was dated back to 15th century when Mughal Emperor  Babur won the war against  Ibrahim Lodi, the last ruler of the Delhi Sultanate, in the First Battle of Panipat (1526). The Mughal invasion wouldn’t have happened if King Hemu had won the battle of Panipat

Babri Masjid was built in the year 1928-29 by the orders of Babur (Babri Masjid is named after Babur). The Indian invasion by Mughals was led by demolishing many ancient Hindu temples by King Babur.

As per the version of Hindu scholars, the controversial Rama Janma Bhoomi (which the Hindus believe lord Rama was born in that place) had a temple before the masjid was built and Babur had demolished the temple to build masjid on the same land

Days have been passed and things started changing after the independence and bifurcation of India and Pakistan, Though India is a Hindu majority nation still it has chosen to stay as a secular state and framed the constitution accordingly. No religious laws in India have powers to override the constitution.

Keeping aside what Babur has done to the Hindu temples people have stayed in unity. People in India never bothered much about history until 6th Dec 1992 event when a large crowd of Hindu Kar Sevaks marched towards Babri Masjid in Ayodhya and demolished Babri Masjid.

On 6th Dec 1992, VHP and BJP organized a rally in Ayodhya in which 1, 50,000 Kar Sevaks attended and the rally turned violent when the mob marched towards Babri Masjid and demolished. The top brass leaders of BJP and VHP who have attended the rally was accused for demolition of masjid and charge sheet was filed against  L.k. Advani, Murali Manohar Joshi and Uma Bharati.

Even the courts have suggested solving the issue outside the court.

Two issues are still not resolved:

1)      What to do with the controversial land.

2)      To find whether it is a unintentional mob led demolition or preplanned as charge sheet filed by CBI.

The first issue can never ever be solved inside the court as Hindus accuse Babur for demolishing the ancient Rama Mandir and Muslims fight for rebuilding masjid. Courts have even ordered archeological department of India to find if any temple sculptures were there in the place of controversial land.

  1. a) Should the courts do justice for Hindus if there was temple before the masjid was built?
  2. b) Should the court do justice for Muslims as the masjid was demolished?

The answer is Status Quo.
