Dorasani introduces Anand Devarakonda and Shivatmika to Telugu cinema. KVR Mahendra is the director and this romantic saga is produced by Yash Rangineni and Madhura Sreedhar. The trailer and the songs received top class response from the audience. Dorasani is releasing across the globe today and here is the complete review of the film:
Story:
Dorasani is the story of Raju (Anand Devarakonda) and Devaki (Shivatmika). While Raju comes from a lower backward caste, family, Devaki hails from a rich family of Doras (who ruled Telangana villages). The duo turn closer and fall in love with each other. After a series of incidents, Devaki’s father comes to know about their love story and the rest of Dorasani is all about how Raju and Devaki face hurdles and cross all the barriers to win their love. Watch the film to know about the rest.
Positives:
Feel good backdrop
Telangana dialogues and nativity
Soothing love story
Negatives:
Routine Plot
Slow pace
Dragged narration
Lacks commercial elements
Performance:
Anand Devarakonda has been apt in the role of Raju and his innocence, subtle performance is a huge plus for him. He performed well in his debut film. Shivatmika did a decent job in her role and she has been extremely good in the emotional scenes. All the other actors played their parts well.
Dorasani has a routine plot but it is the poetic narration which makes the film passable. The screenplay and dialogues have been decent. The music and the cinematography work stands out in the scene and the production values have been grand enough. KVR Mahendra has been partly successful as Dorasani will not cater to all the sections of audience.
Verdict:
Dorasani will not cater to all the sections because of the slow-paced predictable romantic drama. The lead actors performed well.
Rating: 2.5/5
