Sensational director Shankar is on a roll and is riding high with the success of his last outing 2.0. Rajinikanth, Amy Jackson and Akshay Kumar played the lead roles in this sci-fi thriller. Shankar moved on to his next film that is the remake of Indian and is titled Indian 2. Kamal Haasan is reprising the role of Senapathi after 25 years. Kajal Aggarwal has been roped in as the female lead in this action thriller.

Though Ajay Devgn was considered to essay the role of the lead antagonist, the makers roped in Akshay Kumar for the role. Akshay Kumar is quite excited to work with the most talented director Shankar once again for this prestigious film. An official announcement will be made at the earliest. Lyca Productions are the producers and Anirudh is composing the music. Indian 2 will treat the audience during Christmas this year.
