South Indian Superstar Kamal Haasan is busy with his political engagements and is away from films. The actor after a long gap signed Indian 2 in the direction of Shankar. The film is expected to roll from December 16th but Kamal delayed the shoot and wanted it to commence from the mid of January 2019 as he is busy with several political meetings. The team too pushed the shoot and are busy finalizing other things.

Shankar flew abroad and finalized some exclusive locations from Ukraine and Taiwan to shoot for Indian 2. Several sets are erected in Ramoji Film City for the shoot and some portions of Indian 2 will be canned in Chennai and Pollachi. Kajal Agarwal is the heroine and Anirudh Ravichander is the music composer. Bankrolled by Lyca Productions, Indian 2 will release during the second half of this year.
