It is known that the Mallana Sagar project has become a bone of contention for the ruling TRS government which had a smooth sailing so far in the state.
Now there have been reports that Telangana Irrigation Minister Harish Rao has been more or less successful in convincing the people of 6 villages to part with their houses and land for this key reservoir.
He is now reportedly left with only one last village of Vemulaghat. If this is also accomplished successfully, then the steam may be going out from the opposition parties in the region.
