The move for creating 17 new districts in Telangana state seems to have set the bells ringing that may open the Pandora’s box. This is proving to be a challenge for CM KCR and his team.
There are reports that the TRS led government is facing intense pressure as it has been getting more than 30,000 objections after the government issuing its draft notifications over this move last month.
The proposal also involves creating 45 new mandals which is again proving tough, even as many regions are witnessing demonstrations by people who are completely unhappy over being denied the district status to their towns or their choice to be associated with a particular district.
