The moment a government announces about cabinet expansion there will be a long list which would be lobbying for grabbing those berths. Given that when Narendra Modi announced about his cabinet expansion many offers came up.
However, it is heard that when Narendra Modi offered Chandrababu Naidu a berth for his party, the latter has politely declined it. The reason being, Naidu wants to make sure that the people of Andhra Pradesh don’t misunderstand him.
He wants to reiterate that more than a cabinet berth, he expects the Special Status or special financial package for the survival of Andhra Pradesh. Whether Modi will oblige or not, Naidu’s move is being hailed by political pundits.
