Megastar Chiranjeevi’s next magnum opus Syeraa is releasing across the globe on October 2nd and the film is based on the story of freedom fighter Uyyalavada Narasimha Reddy. The kin of freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy have filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the Hyderabad High Court to direct the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to not issue censor certificate for Chiranjeevi’s upcoming movie Sye Raa.

Doravari Dastagiri Reddy, the fourth-generation heir of the freedom fighter demands compensation for making Uyyalavada’s biopic. He also demanded the makers and Chiranjeevi to screen the film for them and get a clearance before the release. The court is expected to take a call tomorrow about this and the decision will be directed to the family members of Uyyalavada Narasimha Reddy. Doravari Dastagiri Reddy claims that Charan promised to share 10% of the profits from the film to their family members.
