
The Union Government-appointed Committee has reportedly cleared the proposals for starting three new airports from the scratch in Andhra Pradesh on Monday.
These airports will be reportedly coming up at Bhoghapuram near Vizag followed by Dagadarthi in Nellore district, and Orvakallu of Kurnool district. The collective costs will be to tune of Rs 2,376 crore.
Bhogapuram International Airports would be created under Public Private Partnership (PPP) with a cost of Rs 2,200 crore while there will be Domestic no-frills airports at Dagadarthi and Orvakallu.
