Superstar Rajinikanth bounced back to league with his next film 2.0 which is directed by Shankar. The sci fi thriller has been made on a massive budget of Rs 600 crores and it released in 3D in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages. Bollywood Superstar Akshay Kumar is the lead antagonist and Amy Jackson played the female lead.

2.0 released in record number of screens and the film collected a theatrical share of Rs 18.56 crores in AP and Telangana. The movie is a treat to watch in 3D and the visual effects have been widely appreciated. AR Rahman composed the music and Lyca Productions bankrolled the film.
