Nandamuri Balakrishna tested his luck with the biopic of his father NTR which is made in two installments. The first one titled NTR – Kathanayakudu released across the globe yesterday and received decent response all over. Krish, the film’s director has been left in heaps of praises from the family crowds and Nandamuri fans. Balakrishna’s portrayal and his performance are lauded widely.

The film received decent occupancy on day one and it raked Rs 7.63 crores on its first day across the Telugu states. The numbers are expected to be decent in the coming days with the Sankranthi season heading soon. Vidya Balan is the female lead and Balakrishna himself bankrolled NTR – Kathanayakudu on NBK Films.
