Young actor Vijay Devarakonda who raced to the top with back to back hits tasted a series of flops in the recent times. His recent speeches too received criticism and the actor tested his luck as a producer with Meeku Matrame Chepta. The actor spent ample time promoting the movie. The film registered shockingly low numbers at the Telugu box-office. The film featured Tharun Bhascker, Anasuya and Abhinav in the lead roles.
The film performed badly over the weekend and collected a share of just Rs 1 crore over the weekend. Vijay Devarakonda’s production values too have been criticized. He is left in shock with the low numbers and poor word of mouth from the audience. Vijay Devarakonda recently wrapped up the shoot of his next movie World Famous Lover and will resume the shoot of Hero next month. The film will be directed by Anand Annamali and will be produced by Mythri Movie Makers.
