Ilayathalapathy Vijay slowly established a decent strong base in Telugu states. With several top actors fading out and losing their market, Vijay emerged as the new star from Tamil actors. His latest offering Bigil released as Whistle and the film raked decent revenues across the Telugu states in its first weekend. Whistle collected a theatrical share of Rs 6.5 crores in three days across AP and Telangana which is decent.
The film received a positive response and is expected to end up as a safe project in its final run. Whistle Telugu theatrical rights are sold for Rs 10 crores and the film should do well over the weekdays. Atlee directed Whistle and Vijay shined in three different roles. Nayanthara is the leading lady and AR Rahman composed the music. AGS Entertainments are the producers. Here are the first weekend collections of the film:
