Friday Box-office: Poor start Meeku Maathrame Chepta and Aaviri

November 2, 2019 at 6:20 am

November is a dull phase for films and after the completion of Dasara and Diwali, Tollywood audience show no interest in films. Vijay Devarakonda’s maiden production Meeku Maathrame Chepta and Ravi Babu’s horror thriller Aaviri released across Telugu states yesterday. Aaviri witnessed pathetic opening and Meeku Maathrame Cheptaa too remained low. Aaviri opened with 10% occupancy while Meeku Maathrame Chepta managed to get 25% occupancy on Friday.

Aaviri received poor response from the audience while Meeku Maathrame Chepta received decent response from the youth though the talk is mixed. It is quite hard for these films to survive in this off season and mint decent revenues. Whistle too remained low and Karthi’s Khaidi is expected to dominate the Tollywood box-office this weekend. The advance sales for Khaidi for the weekend are satisfactory. On the whole, Tollywood will have a dull weekend this week.
