After NTR’s biopic, YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s biopic titled Yatra released last Friday. The film is completely focused on YSR’s padayatra that he initiated during 2003. The film was directed by Mahi V Raghav and Mammootty reprised the role of YSR in the film. Yatra released across the globe on Friday and the film received lukewarm response from the audience. Though the day one numbers have been encouraging, the collections soon dropped down.

Yatra digital rights have been picked up for a record price of Rs 8 crores which is huge. The film collected a theatrical share of Rs 5 crores in three days and it is expected to close at Rs 10 crores in its final run. With all the deals and release in Tamil, Malayalam, the makers of Yatra will end up in safe zone. 70mm Entertainments are the producers and Jagapathi Babu, Rao Ramesh played other pivotal roles in Yatra.
