Positives:
Allu Arjun and his performance
Background score
Action episodes
First half
Negatives:
Deviated second half
Improper narration
Songs
Lack of emotions and family drama
Limited appeal
Performances:
Allu Arjun who has been racing to the top delivers out his best performance as an actor. He has been outstanding in the role of Surya and dominated throughout the film. Anu Emmanuel is a treat to watch on screen and she has been extremely glamorous throughout. Action King Arjun is the biggest surprise in the film and he has been flawless in the assigned role. Thakur Anup Singh and Sarath Kumar turn goons for Naa Peru Surya and they have been decent. Sai Kumar, Nadiya, Boman Irani shined in their limited roles and Vennela Kishore managed to keep the audience smiling.
Naa Peru Surya is completely based on the character Surya and lacks an interesting conflict point. The screenplay looks ok and the dialogues have been decent. The music makes no impact while the background score has been elevating. The production values have been lavish and the editing has been crisp. The cinematography and the art work contributed well for the film. Vakkantham Vamsi failed to present the second half in an engaging and interesting way.
Verdict:
Despite of loud action and packed performance by Allu Arjun, Naa Peru Surya dips down because of the poor second half and will appeal to a limited section of audience. Allu Arjun delivers out his career’s best performance.
