Mega Prince Varun Tej after a blockbuster like Fidaa tested his luck with Tholi Prema this year. Venky Atluri made his directorial debut and the film released last month. With positive buzz all over, the film impressed the youth and family audience big time. Rashi Khanna played the female lead while SS Thaman composed the tunes and the background score. Made on a strict budget of Rs 16 crores, Tholi Prema collected Rs 24.59 crores in its final run and ended up as a super hit.
