Superstar Mahesh Babu is creating ripples across the Telugu states with his new film Maharshi. The emotional family drama is directed by Vamshi Paidipally and Pooja Hegde is the female lead. The teaser and the first single clocked record views in no time and kept up the expectations high on the film. There is huge demand for the theatrical rights of Maharshi.

The latest news is that the Karnataka rights of Maharshi are sold out for a record price of Rs 8.2 crores which is a non-Baahubali record. The makers are slowly closing all the theatrical deals one by one. The theatrical rights alone will fetch Rs 120 crores and the other rights fetched over Rs 50 crores. Dil Raju, PVP and Ashwini Dutt are the producers. The film releases on May 9th across the globe.
