VV Vinayak was once one of the leading directors of Telugu cinema. He directed several mass entertainers which ended up as money-spinners. The ace director was not left with offers and he decided to test his luck as an actor with Seenayya. But the film not shaping well, it is shelved recently. VV Vinayak has been in plans to return back to the direction and there are talks that he will soon direct Megastar Chiranjeevi soon.
Ram Charan already acquired the remake rights of Malayalam movie Lucifer after Chiranjeevi decided to play the lead role. Charan and Chiranjeevi felt that VV Vinayak would be the perfect choice to direct the film and approached him. If all goes well, VV Vinayak will direct the remake. The script work of the film is currently going on. The regular shoot may commence from November this year and the film releases in summer 2021.
