Rana Daggubati has been suffering with health related issues and the actor had his kidney transplant done in USA. After taking rest for three months, Rana Daggubati returned back to the country and is monitored under the supervision of expert doctors. Rana is yet to complete the shoot of his next film titled Virata Parvam which is half done with the shoot. Venu Udugula is the director and Sai Pallavi is the leading lady.
Rana also signed Hiranyakashyapa, a mythological drama that is based on the life story of demon king Hiranyakashyapa. Gunasekhar is on board to direct the project and the pre-production work took two years. With Rana turning lean, it takes ample time for the actor to get a bulky look. There are talks that Gunasekhar is in plans to lock another actor instead of waiting for a long time. At this point of time, Rana Daggubati too is not in a mood to take risk for Hiranyakashyapa. Suresh Productions and Guna Team Works will bankroll this prestigious project.
