He has been suffering from health-related issues from the past few days and is recently admitted in a private hospital in Chennai. Gollapudi Maruthi Rao breathed his last today morning due to prolonged illness. The 80-year-old actor received numerous appreciations and awards for his work. His writings have been published and widely appreciated. In a career span of 35 years, Gollapudi Maruthi Rao worked for 230 films in different languages.
