Akhil Akkineni is yet to taste his first success in Telugu cinema. After three back to back flops, he is currently shooting for an untitled family entertainer in the direction of Bommarillu Bhaskar. The film releases during summer 2020 and Akhil is said to have signed his next film already. He has been holding talks with Tamil talented filmmaker PS Mithran who delivered a sensational hit Irumbu Thirai (Abhimanyudu in Telugu) last year. The duo met several times and now things are said to have finalized.
Akhil and Mithran will work for an action thriller and the film will start rolling from summer 2020 once the duo is free from their current commitments. The film will be shot simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil languages. Mithran is currently busy with Siva Karthikeyan’s Hero. Akhil flew to Chennai several times recently during his breaks to finalize this project. More details awaited.
