Vijay Devarakonda is riding high on the success of Geetha Govindam. The movie has been a massive hit and his stakes on his next projects have been increased. However his film Taxiwaala has been struggling to hit the screens. Taxiwaala has been initially announced for summer release but has been delayed by months. There have been wide speculations that the film has been delayed as the makers are not happy with the final draft of the film and are re-shooting some of the portions.
The inside news is that the makers managed to ink an interesting digital deal and are in talks to release the film online. On the other hand, there are even talks that Taxiwaala may release in record number of screens to recover the investments irrespective of the result. A final call about Taxiwaala release will be taken soon. Vijay Devarakonda wants no more delay for Taxiwaala.
Rahul Sankrityan is the director and GA2 Pictures, UV Creations bankrolled Taxiwaala in which Vijay Devarakonda plays a cab driver.
