Mahanati is the biopic of legendary actress Savitri. Nag Ashwin has been busy with the biopic which is being made on a massive budget. Keerthy Suresh is the lead actress in the film and Samantha, Dulquer Salman, Vijay Devarakonda will be seen in other pivotal roles. Legendary actors NTR and ANR have done many films with the legendary actress and a film without the characters of ANR, NTR would be incomplete. NTR and Naga Chaitanya have been in talks to reprise their grandfathers on screen but things did not work out.
Now with nothing much to do, the scenes of NTR and ANR from their films will be digitally inserted in Mahanati. With less time and with no options left, the makers are mastering the old episodes and are using them on screen. The scenes will be inserted in the shot episodes with Keerthy Suresh after which they will be digitally corrected. Mahanati is being made on a massive budget and is bankrolled by Vyjayanthi Movies. The film will hit the screens during May this year.
