The two massive dams on Krishna River have often been a source of contention between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states as most of the districts depend on them for drinking water and irrigation.
Sources say that the Central Water Commission has informed both states to be fully ready and alert as massive floods have hit catchment areas in the state of Maharashtra.
Since most reservoirs till Jurala in Telangana have been filled, all the excess water will be now let down and this would fill Srisailam and Nagarjuna Sagar, the lifeline of AP and TS!
