Harish Shankar is currently directing Valmiki which is half done already. Pooja Hegde has been roped in as the female lead and the actress soon walked out of the film. She was not happy with the remuneration revealed sources and the makers are currently finalizing the female lead. Varun Tej and Atharvaa Murali are the lead actors in Valmiki which is the remake of Tamil blockbuster Jigarthandaa. The film’s shoot is happening in Hyderabad currently.

Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad has been roped in to compose the music for the film but in a sudden shock, he walked out of the project. Without making no time waste, Harish Shankar roped in Mickey J Mayor as the music director for Valmiki and he started working on the tunes. The entire shoot of the film will be completed by June and the makers are in plans to release Valmiki during August. 14 Reels Plus are the producers.
