Megastar Chiranjeevi and Koratala Siva’s social drama is titled Acharya. The shoot of the film is kept on hold due to the coronavirus. Trisha was roped in as the leading lady but the actress said that she is no more a part of the film due to the creative differences with the team. The makers are now in the hunt for the leading lady and Kajal Aggarwal is the front runner for the role. The remuneration and her dates are being worked out.

As per the speculation, Anushka Shetty’s name too is considered for the film. If Kajal rejects the offer, the makers are in plans to approach Anushka. The top actress has terrific craze but she is struggling with weight-related issues and is not signing many movies. Her next film Nishabdham is announced for summer release and she is in talks with a couple of young filmmakers for her next films. Acharya is gearing up for August 14th release. Ram Charan and Niranjan Reddy are the producers.
