Mahanati happens to be the biopic of legendary actress Savitri which has been made on a massive budget. Nag Ashwin is the director of the movie and Keerthy Suresh played the lead role as Savitri. Samantha, Dulquer Salman and Vijay Devarakonda played other prominent roles in Mahanati which released yesterday. The movie received exceptional response from the audience. He came out of the theatre after which a woman walked towards him asking him if he directed Mahanati. Before he could say no, she hugged him in tears and thanked Sukumar for the film.
